Welcome to A Splendid Messy Life! This is a mommy and book blog written and edited by me, Jennifer Bairos. I am a working mama living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with my husband, Rob, our son, Sebastian, and our cat, Lily. I haven't always been a city girl. You can read about my rural roots here.

When I was on maternity leave, I started to follow a few blogs and loved hearing the voices of these women sharing their tips, tricks, and thoughts on motherhood. I was, and continue to be, inspired by these women and wanted to join them by sharing my experiences with others too. I write about books and toys that are loved in our house, things we love to do in Toronto, resources I've found that have made life a little bit easier, or just my thoughts on parenting.

In addition to motherhood, I write and blog book reviews. Reading is my favourite hobby, so I'm always excited when I have the opportunity to share new books and authors. Plus, they often give me extra copies of the books to giveaway, so that's a perk for you!
