The obstacles were so much more fun than I had anticipated; however, on the flip side, I did not do enough hill training. And the feeling of working as a team was so amazing. I made new friends and absolutely feel a stronger bond with the women I already knew before we started. I'd like to say this was a once in a lifetime experience, except I really hope it's not. I really hope we do this again. With an even bigger team. With possibly a little more hill training beforehand.
Notice my dad on the right hand side. He and my mom were the only two spectators who went rogue and didn't follow the "spectator route". They wanted to follow us right from the beginning to cheer us on and take pictures! Normally, the first three obstacles were out of the spectator zone.
You can see 3 of the 5 of us splashing down this obstacle. That's me on the left. Marlene is in there somewhere as well, but she's so covered by water and mud you can't actually see her!
I did it. I climbed the wall!!

So that's a wrap! I would strongly encourage anyone to try it out. Even if you don't think you can do this, you totally can. Even my mom was thinking she may join us next time. Go mama! There are still some events this year that you can check out here.
