Les Petits plaisirs - Umba Box

This is the first post in a new series I'm testing out called Les Petits plaisirs. My goal for this series is to share things I've found to be little pleasures in life. It could be a quotation, an activity, a song, or a comfort item. Whatever makes me feel good inside, and I think may make you feel good too. So here we go!

Those close to me know there are a few things I really love: getting parcels in the mail, surprises, and Etsy. So imagine my delight when I found something that combined all three of those loves. Umba Box does just that. Umba Box curates a package 2 or 3 handmade items and mails it to your door each month. The cost is 25$/month + shipping to Canada (either $4 or $9 depending on the length of your subscription).

Today my Umba Box arrived, and this month it had 2 terrific little treats.

The first is a cute hand sewn drawstring bag with a picture tandem bike made by Sweetnature Designs. I can use it as a lunch bag, gift bag, or just to hold misc items in my purse or diaper bag.

The second item is a jar of Pumpkin Spice sugar whipped soap made by Noon Designs. I am so excited to try this out tomorrow morning in the shower. It smells exactly like a Pumpkin Spice Latte.  Just what I need to get going in the morning.

So that was my petit plaisir today. Coming home to some wonderful mail and fun surprises.
If you need another reason to check out Umba Box, this was a fab clutch that was sent to me in my first Umba Box along with some gluten-free brownies. Mmmm

So what do you think of this series? What are some of your petits plaisirs? Add them in the comments section below, and I hope to share them in a future post!

  1. Love this Jenn!!!! By this I mean: your blog in general, the petits plaisirs, and the unmba box...I might have to get one...some....
Some of my petits plaisirs involve the muk luk boot socks you introduced me to (I know have 2 pairs and a pair of tights!), the torani vanilla syrup that i put in coffee, italian sodas, and those carbonated fruit juice cans from superstore, and reading before bedtime (both with félix and by myself).

    2. please do!! i've thought of more: curling up in a blanket and reading on a rainy day (harder to do now with a busy little one around), scrapbook paper, and loose leaf tea ;)
